For riders, the morning walk is a peaceful and silent ritual that has its own codes. In the early hours of the morning, when the earth steams up, the rider prepares his horse. The animal walks at a normal pace, then comes the time to warm up, gradually, first trotting, then at a measured galloping speed, known as "hunting". Henri d'Origny puts the harnessing of this walk in the spotlight of his composition. Bridles, bits and curb chains take all of the space, in circles and squares...
